Photography For Me

Photography♥ Sometimes I have these little moments where I find myself thinking about why am I photographer, why am I taking this as my major, and then I compare myself to others around me. In the end I put that all behind me and think about myself and that I am doing this for me and no one else. This is my passion in life and I enjoy every moment of doing it, I may not be the best photographer out there and I know I am not but when I photograph I know I am producing the best image possible. It is also what I see with my eyes, and that I want others to see how I see things. I know I have a lot of learning to do in my life about photography, but I grow each day and get more and more excited about my life and future. Even though I get those moments where I feel down about it and wonder why I know in the end it is not what everyone else thinks but what I think. And also how this makes me feel, honestly I would be lost without having photography in my life, as it is a way to show my feelings and a way to document life for others around me. In the end I know I will never leave photography or let anyone stand between me and photography, or ever take it away from me.
When I think about just photography I think about all the ideas I have and those ideas that I can put forth in my work. I also think about how I started out finding my passion for photography, to be honest I started out having all those cute little film cameras I had as a kid. Having the best Barbie camera! Yes I had one of those then I started getting different ones because I would break my camera, yes I have went through many cameras before I really started to love it. It was not about till I was in my early teens when I got a digital camera for first time which it was the first of many that I have had. When I got that camera I started to shoot more and more, and then I decided that I loved photography. At that time it was more of hobby for me and something that took me to a whole different world and everything that was around me was good. I went through about ten different digital cameras before I got my first really SLR camera when receiving this camera I started to learn on my own all that I could about photography and that is the time I decided that I would not follow my dream of becoming a Nurse but to follow my true passion in life Photography. After learning this I started to get my hands on every book I could that could teach me anything and everything about photography. Over those years I believe I learned so much about it just from messing with the 35mm camera, it was not till my Senior year that I got my DSLR which is where my life really started to move forward. I would photograph anything and everything no mater what it was, which is what made me to start to fall more in love with it. I continued to learn on my own for the years after and still continue to do a lot on my own. Since getting my DSLR I started to run my own business yes I know its hard to start one because you get bashed by other photographers for charging so low, but most of the people I photograph are lower income based people. Also for the fact every photographer has to start off somewhere. Since then I have raised the prices up and now will be registering with the state to run my business. Having this business has made me grow up a lot and also learn all I can learn about photography, I have many years ahead of me and much more to learn to achieve my dreams and goals I have for my work and my personal business.
This is what photography is to me something that makes me feel happy, something that makes me forget, it transforms me, it makes me who I am. My passion in life, and I am happy I found it and I am ready to make the rest of my goals and DREAMS come true.
